A Recap of TTI’s 40th Anniversary Conference

Forty-Forward-Recap

TTI’s 40th-anniversary celebration was more than just another conference.

Partners from around the globe joined the TTI team in Scottsdale, AZ, to connect, learn, celebrate the past, and, most importantly, discover how we can transform the future, together.

With 15 breakout sessions curated to help partners build their businesses, three main stage speakers, multiple reveal sessions including new and updated reports, upcoming trainings, and surprise product access for attendees, there was a lot to catch in just two days.

Here’s a recap of the event this year:

Connecting with Partners from Around the World

Over 30 of our International Partners from 18 countries joined us for Forty Forward and their own annual Master Distributer Conference—the most we’ve had at any conference!

They spent two days together sharing knowledge, connecting with old and new friends, strengthening our global partnerships for the future, and having some fun too. Partners hopped into jeeps to traverse through the Arizona wilderness before returning to the Westin Kierland for the rest of the conference.

There, the Hub became a place of connection, as partners, exhibitors, and TTI team members mingled in between sessions, grabbed a much-needed coffee, and decided on their next breakout session.

After wandering through a “museum” of significant relics from the past 40 years in business, partners could learn about the new MindScience Center, NextPoints, or pick up some conference “flair” to represent their assessment use.

Our exhibitors shared a wealth of information, and team members from Aloha Publishing, EfficientAide, Keap, GameTruck, and MyTalentPlanner joined us for the two-day event. TTI’s new partner in education, Indigo, also joined.

Table Talks also allowed attendees to learn more about the topics that sparked their interest the most, from IDS4 Beta to Learning and Certifications to Social Media to Emotional Intelligence.

“TTI put so much thought and intention into making Forty Forward a wonderful event for the partners,” one attendee said. “I loved being able to have more in-depth one-on-one conversations with others.”

Celebrate the Past

Attendees kicked off the celebration in style with a 1980s-themed welcome reception. Big hair and flashy colors could be spotted across the Northern Sky Terrace at the resort.  A few lucky golfers “hit the boat” during a putting competition to support the I GOT THIS Foundation, which also received proceeds from a pre-conference Golf Scramble earlier in the day.

Luckily, the rock ‘n’ roll didn’t keep attendees out too late, and Friday morning at the conference began with a walk down memory lane—both literally, through the conference’s TTI Museum, and virtually, as the main stage explored the history of TTI from its humble beginnings in the farmlands of the Midwest to today as a global industry leader through a series of nostalgic videos.

You could find mementos from Dave and Bill Bonnstetter’s original offices in the TTI Museum, including the assessment floppy discs and past DISC manuals. Sections of the museum took you through the decades with life-size cut-outs of Bill, Dave, Dr. Ron Bonnstetter, and current president Ron Price.

After this time celebrating and catching up, it was time to get inspired and look to the future.

Inspirational Main Stage Speakers

With three keynote speakers, an interactive experience, multiple reveal sessions, and presentations from both Dr. Ron Bonnstetter and Ron Price, there was a lot of information to absorb from the Main Stage.

Anthony Robles, Nike athlete, Guinness World Record holder, and former TTI intern, shared his story and how he became Unstoppable on Friday, and Dr. Tiffany Brandredth and Joe Pine joined attendees on Saturday to speak on embracing change and creating transformative experiences for customers.

Dr. Ron spent time introducing attendees to the brand-new MindScience Center, and Ron Price shared a vision of TTI’s future to close out the conference.

Breakout Sessions to Help Grow Your Business

The TTI team carefully curated the conference breakout sessions to help partners grow their businesses, with the added focus of different tracks and audiences to follow based on their needs.

Among other topics, attendees could choose to “Flip the Script for Powerful Coaching with TriMetrix® EQ” with Ron Oltmanns or “‘Improv’ Your Training and Team Effectiveness Sessions” with Amy Lafko. Chris Heald shared practical tips during “Unlocking the Power and Potential of AI,” and Michael Mueller and Kerry Goyette discussed “AI Beyond the Lab: From Experiments to Enterprise Impact.”

One attendee was ready to apply what they learned immediately: “The application of the questions came to life for me with the demonstration. My questions were answered, and the handouts were great. I will use this next week in my business.”

Transforming the Future

“Great insights into how I can up my game.”

“Hearing from TTI staff about new things is so valuable and exciting.”

“I think it was the best TTI conference I have been to thus far. The mix of speakers, breakout sessions, and presentations offered a variety that was lacking in other conferences. Thank you!”

Even though conference is in the rear-view window, we aren’t done celebrating. The theme of looking “Forty Forward” will continue all year long with new and updated reports, training opportunities, and more—and we can’t wait to work with our partners to transform the future.
