Behind every thriving organization are strong, self-aware leaders. But effective leadership doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built on understanding strengths, addressing gaps, and fostering growth.
Gabriella Varga, TTI Master Distributor for Hungary, knew this when she began working with Partner in Pet Food (PPF). PPF was looking for ways to better align its leaders' capabilities with the organization’s goals. They also wanted to modernize traditional approaches to leading and evaluating employees to something more innovative, holistic, and actionable.
“It starts with the individual and reaches the organization,” she said. “I believe that without this understanding, the whole process doesn’t even begin.”
Gabriella used this philosophy to help PPF redefine its leadership development, using TTI assessment tools to build an organization of self-aware leaders.
The Challenge: Why PPF Turned to TTI Tools
Partner in Pet Food (PPF) is an innovative European pet food company headquartered in Budapest, Hungary. It is passionate about creating a better tomorrow for people and their pets, offering high-quality pet food products from its offices and factories across Europe. The organization’s focus on customer service and market agility has allowed it to become a significant player in the pet food industry.
As it has grown, PPF sought ways for its leaders to develop more self-awareness, align their skills with the organization’s goals, and move beyond traditional evaluations to embrace a functional approach. The company needed insights tailored to individual and organizational needs—and TTI’s multi-science approach was the solution.
“I believe that there is not just one type of leader, but many types,” Noémi Wietecha-Fabók, PPF Training & Development Manager, said. “It is much more important to bring out the most from that type, character, ability, and value system, and the assessments help them get to know themselves and understand their strengths and weaknesses.”
The Solution: Redefining Leadership Development
When Gabriella began working with the company, she understood that to transform the organization, they needed to begin at an individual level.
“Twenty-five years ago, I brought four [assessment options] to Hungary, of which this one survived,” she said. “Why? Because it supports the leadership, organizational, and individual support needed in today’s work world.”
She saw this firsthand with Noémi, as the young professional sought a better organizational fit for herself and her values. After taking TTI’s assessments, reviewing the results with Gabriella helped her develop awareness and clarify her path forward.
Noémi and Gabriella have since brought in TTI tools to redefine PPF’s leadership development to focus on self-awareness, utilizing strengths, and identifying areas for growth. By highlighting these key attributes, leaders are empowered to leverage their natural strengths, and the organization can position the right leaders in the right roles for maximum impact. Through team events, employees discovered surprising similarities and reshaped perceptions about their coworkers to form stronger bonds as a team.
“This approach not only helps leaders improve their individual performance but also equips them with the insights needed to inspire and effectively guide their teams,” Noémi said. “As a result, the program fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, aligning leadership development with the organization’s broader goals.”
Now TTI assessments play a key role in PPF’s talent development pipeline, from hiring to executive leadership. With tailored guidance that fosters meaningful growth and transformation, the reports have proven to be an essential asset in PPF’s decision-making and leadership development processes.
“I believe you can only be a good leader if you know yourself and understand your abilities and lead people with that knowledge,” Noémi said.
