TTI Success Insights is proud to have a global reach, impacting people in over 100 countries across the globe. Some of those transformative stories are featured in the documentary SEEN, which showcases four teams around the world that use TTI assessments to drive change in their workplaces.
A team of leaders and employees in China discovered their strengths and learned to adapt their behaviors, unlocking the full potential of both individuals and their teams. Here is their story.
The People
SI Group is a global leader in the innovative technology of performance additives, process solutions, and chemical intermediates. The company focuses on creating solutions that enhance the performance, durability, and sustainability of products and processes, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly. Their work supports diverse sectors, from automotive and construction to healthcare and consumer goods.
SI Group China sought a way to better understand each other and improve communication. “Everyone deserves to be seen and understood,” said Yan Tao, Director of HR at SI Group China. “Only when we are seen and understood can we achieve our mutual goals.”
The Partnership
Working with the Master Distributor of TTI Success Insights China, Leon Kong, the SI Group used assessments to navigate change management and increase self-awareness and clarity within their teams, transforming communication between individuals and the entire organization.
“Leon is a very dynamic and visionary partner,” said Vanessa Boettcher, Vice President of Global Distribution at TTI. “He has managed all the aspects of a complex market and turned it into a strong region within a few years. His passion, dedication, and vision show every step of the way as he continues to expand in China.”
Initially, SI Group considered various assessment tools but ultimately chose Talent Insights due to its accessible, behavioral style-based approach. “There is profound, deep content inside TTI's reports,” explained Yang Jiang, Director of Procurement. “It's a tool that deepens our awareness of other people's behavioral styles. Based on that, we can participate in a common journey.”
Talent Insights uses DISC and The 12 Driving Forces to enhance employees’ understanding of their strengths and how to adjust behaviors to maximize individual and team potential.
The Experience
The implementation of TTI’s Talent Insights assessment (a blend of DISC and Motivators) in the company’s Singapore, Korea, and Japan offices was a game changer.
“TTI's report has been making a significant impact on us,” said SI Group’s Director of Procurement. “I adapted my approach to change management based on my team’s styles, making the process smoother and leaving a more positive impact on employees."
By utilizing the tool for team building, the team at SI found new ways to recognize employee strengths while fostering mutual understanding. They learned how to value each team member for the unique contributions they bring to their work and saw individuals thrive in their roles as a result.
Ella Ding is one of those people. After years of hard work and professional development as a Senior Accountant, she was ready to take on new challenges and did so with a deeper understanding of herself.
“After I took TTI’s assessment, I realized I have different behavioral styles compared to people around me,” Ding said. “This awareness of self deeply impacts me in the way I approach work and the lifestyle I live.”
Clarity From Being SEEN
