Beginning June 16, 2026, users signing in to IDS3 with a shared username and password will transition to an email-based login experience.
As this happens, you may notice the list of users in Settings -> Manage Access start to grow.
This is expected.
Why Is This Happening?
The updated IDS3 login experience is helping prepare users for the future transition to IDS4. This Email Based Login simplifies access to the TTI platform(s) by allowing users to securely manage access with one login tied to their business email address. It improves security, user tracking, and collaboration by giving each user their own authenticated access instead of shared credentials.
As users sign in with their own email addresses, their email-based login information may appear in Manage Access. This allows you to review users and prepare for future access to IDS4.
Important: Users do not automatically receive IDS4 access when this occurs. They will continue using the same IDS account they use today until additional access is granted.
Understanding User Statuses
You may begin seeing different statuses as users transition to email-based logins.
Needs Permission
This user has completed the email-based login process in IDS3 and is ready to receive IDS4 access.
If you'd like to review the user's permissions before granting access, select the user's email address to open their access settings.
When you're ready to provide IDS4 access, select Needs Permission. The user's status will automatically change to Active, and they will be able to access IDS4.
Unaccepted
This user has an invitation that has not yet been accepted.
In some cases, the invitation may have originated from IDS3. In other cases, it may have been generated through the newer onboarding experience.
If needed, you can resend the invitation from IDS4. Resending the invitation will send an IDS4 invitation email and guide the user into the IDS4 experience.
Active
This user has access to IDS4. No additional action is required.
Start Early for a Smoother Transition
You can proactively transition users to IDS4 before regional retirement dates approach.
Starting early gives you more time to:
- Support users individually.
- Train team members.
- Become comfortable with IDS4.
- Reduce last-minute questions.
- Transition at a pace that works for your organization.
Many organizations that have already transitioned to IDS4 found the experience easier than expected. While there is naturally a learning curve when moving to a new platform, users often discover that everything they need is already there—it's simply in a new location.
What Happens Next?
You can continue transitioning users into IDS4 over time.
Approximately one month before your regional IDS3 retirement date, eligible users will begin seeing IDS4 become available automatically as part of the transition process. This provides an additional opportunity for users to explore the platform before retirement occurs.
Following retirement:
- Existing IDS3 URLs will redirect automatically.
- Bookmark updates will be required to the new IDS4 URL.
- Users will continue their work within IDS4.

The move to email-based logins is an important step in preparing for IDS4.
Most users complete the sign-in update in just a few minutes, and you can continue managing the timing of IDS4 access for your users during the transition period.
Starting early can help create a smoother experience for everyone involved.
